Item Description
E46 Aluminum Radiator (Type 19)
This is our second offering for non-M Series e46 cars. The E46 Aluminum Radiator is suited for every other e46 3 series model--automatic or manual. (See the chart near the bottom of this page.) It is a direct replacement for the factory part, so there won't
be any fitment issues. Just take out the old plastic radiator
and replace it with our version. All the stock accessories
will mount to the new unit without modification.
Our radiators are constructed of materials that provide better heat dissipation. For example, PA66 GF30 is a glass reinforced nylon material used by Behr to manufacture O.E. radiator side tanks. UNS A93003 is the aluminum alloy we use in our radiators.

Additionally, our radiators do not become weak or brittle due to constant temperature cycling. Glass reinforced nylon will eventually deteriorate resulting in a cracked or broken radiator neck. This failure has become more common due to the increased temperatures in the current generation of BMW engines. The normal operating temperature of a Double Vanos engine is around 110° C (230° F). Unfortunately, there is no way to tell what the real temperature is in the engine without special equipment. According to the BMW WDS, the instrument cluster temperature display will read normal between 75°-113° C (167°-235.4° F). Nylon just doesn't hold up under these conditions.
In short, our e46 radiator dissipates more heat and it won't break. And should it break, the original purchaser is covered by a lifetime guarantee... even if it's installed in a race car.
